Got a 12 cell laptop battery new with 2 day air shipping for 6.51 on Amazon:
Probably cheap Chinese cells but they hold charge so not bad for 50 cents each!

A lot of scuff marks on the wrapper on at least one of them. That can not be good to expose whatever battery this is. Recycled batteries can be dangerous.
For me personally, I would much rather pay for quality and peace of mind w/ numerous brands of genuine Panasonic cells!

that would be CJ-6 2200Mah cells i do believe. what was the Mah rating on the full battery pack?
btw, CJ batteries are not very good cells, they will hold a charge but will not last a long time
8800mah pack so yes…they are 2200mah cells. Thx for the ID. I’m using them in a battery pack attached to a portable solar panel in an experimental setup so I did not want to destroy some good cells.
I have some that look similar. Tested to 2200 mAh in my Opus.

Running a discharge on all 6 cells that I have gave values slightly lower and slightly higher than 2200mah. (imagine my shock at a properly rated Chinese cell)
i extracted 6 of such cells form a dell aftermarket battery and one was having rusty positive cap.. others were fine and charged properly .. few were tested and gave 1900 mah @ 5v..
