Elzetta is not answering my email
Perhaps try and email to Malkoff, I was under the impression their customer service is pretty good.
Agree, if this modification is an improvement over the current situation, Malkoff will be more willing to assist you on this improvement than Elzetta.
Can the Elzetta Bravo take Malloff 361 head ?
To help clarify your question, can we assume that you’re referring to the head from the Malkoff “MD” series (MD2, MD3 & MD4) flashlights, which accommodate his Surefire compatible P60 drop-ins including the M361?
In other words, you would like to know if the “head” from the Malkoff MD series of flashlights, fitted with an M361 drop-in, can be screwed onto the body of the Elzetta Bravo?
Yes
It will not. You can use a malkoff drop-in with an elzetta body and head but you cannot use a malkoff md2 head on elzetta body.
A Malkoff VME kit is required in addition to the Malkoff 361 dropin.
Don’t quote me on this, as I’m new to this particular subject and still discovering these things myself. That said, I believe you will probably determine that use of a P60, M60, or M61 (and probably M361?) module w/ an Elzetta Bravo / Charlie body will require using an Elzetta ‘ZFL head’, and an appropriate lens/gasket/o-ring kit. I believe the ZFL heads, whch are all out of production but of course can still be found, exist in a standard / plain bezel, a crenellated bezel, and a low-profile version (which has a plain bezel). I believe this application requires a lens/gasket/o-ring set, for which the one Malkoff sells for their “VME head” will suffice.
Look around with this in mind, and please let me know if you determine that any of this is incorrect, because if it is I need to know it;-)
Gene has told me no
Only the old elzetta m60 can use this drop in
I guess vill have to buy the old one from someone on here
I don’t wanna use malkoffs mdx head I don’t like it
If you need the standard, non-crenellated or the low profile versions, you’ll need to find those previously-owned. If you can use the standard, crenellated version, they are still available NIB from Oveready, but quantity is limited, and they are also ramping down operations there (see home page statement); so if you want one of those, order it now. I just received a second one this week, so it’s not too late;-)
