This isn’t the place to go into it.

OK, now that would be interesting. I read an article a while ago about Tetrachromacy. As you did not have this “capability” before, what do you see different now? I understand that you have to take precautions to protect against UV, but do you ever use the ability?

The limit of ‘visible’ is slightly different for everyone. We can’t all be ‘average’. My best guess is you always had this ability, but your cataracts slowly dimmed both UV and visible light. Then suddenly you got it back one day. It probably felt new. But I suspect you had it all along but didn’t notice it diminishing over the decades.

Paging Raccoon City, please pick up the white courtesy telephone.

Dr. City is at your service! ;)

You could be right and it’s beyond normal. You should find a doctor that’s interested in studying you and donate your body to science… But be careful your doctor doesn’t have any plans of moving to step2 before you do! :open_mouth:

i notice that blacklight tubes have a slight white output.not as much now as when i was in my teens but i still notice it.
btw i have been known to my friends in the tv service business as being able to adjust greyscale better than factory.dont need to do this often now but last week a had a call on a phillips plasma set that has never been right from new.
the warranty service guys said that it was fine.looked awful to me.the first 3 to see it must have been colorblind.it had no green in the background.5 minutes in the service menu and perfect.now i have several weekends of work to do fixing the whole family’s broken sets.
btw i noticed a purplish spike in luxeon rebel nw that i habe been using.it goes away itself after about 100 hours of burn in.nobody i know sees this.i have one of those 70’s pyramid lamps that i put a 3up star in place of the #93 bulb.it annoyed me enough i left it on all weekend to break it in.i can reliably tell a fresh set of leds from this batch from a broken in set.blind tests.so what is this?a touch of uv that degrades a component of the led and then gets filtered?

I see hank removed all references to himself having a super power, and deleted as many of his own posts as the forum allows. My joke must have worried him somebody would want to study him against his will. Sorry hank!
