The CarForge Battery Tester was developed to estimate the remaining capacity of new or recycled 18650 Li-Ion laptop batteries. It can be used for other Battery types as well.

This device can handle up to 6 cells in parallel. You can adjust the discharge current for each cell individually. It is based on the „DIY-Constant-current-load“ project provided by GreatScottLab on instructables.com. We use an Arduino in combination with Matlab to plot the discharge curves of each cell. Additionally the Arduino will start and stop the discharge process for each cell.

We added some features to GreatScottLab’s project:

You can discharge 6 cells in parallel
You can adjust the discharge current for each cell individually
You can start and stop the discharge process for each cell separately (e.g. with an Arduino)
You can measure the voltage of each cell separately (e.g. with an Arduino)

I do not see the interface and base code for the arduino on the page… any ideas?
