Charger for 21700

I hardly managed to get those protected Acebeam 18650s into the C4. I never thought it would be possible to squeeze 21700 into it.

Protected 18650 tend to be about as long as 21700.

As a last resort you could always use an 18650 charger with wires from each bay to a 21700 holder, should be easy to rig something up. The charger won’t know the difference.

I can try tonight in Lii 500 and Zanflare C4 but I don’t know which brand do you have 21700 so maybe your will be a little longer or shorter… Don’t know how much it will helps to you…

The C4-12 should be fine. MiBoxer claims their charger is suitable for the new cells. Costs would be around $ 30 - 40.

Unprotected 21700 is fine. Acebeam 5100 mAh doesn’t fit.

Same goes for the Lii-500 and Esyb E4.

SkyRC MC3000 is too much cost for me , hope Lii-500 fit as maukka said my cell is unprotected

My longer 26650 batteries measure 26700 and my Lii-500 has about 2 mm to spare so it should work OK.
21720 would be pretty tight.

I test in couple of chargers, but 20700 battery, the length is the same so no problem in that way.

From left to right : Samsung 30Q, Protected Xtar 18650, Sanyo 20700.

Protected 18650 :

Sanyo 20700 :

Lii 100 - no fit
Lii 202 - will fit very very barely ( I do not recommend ! )
Lii PL4 - will fit without no problems
Lii 500 - will fit without no problems
Zanflare C4 - will fit without no problem ( less space stays than on Lii 500 and Lii PL4 )

I have more chargers but they are 500mA max and I don’t test in them since this is slow charge for this kind of cells.

For just charging, worse comes to worse, a Folomov A1. Magnetic snap-thingies that’ll charge one cell in a pinch, regardless of the length (within reason).

Otherwise, any charger that’ll hold a fat 26650, and fit a long protected panny-B (longest beasties I know of).

21700 will NOT fit rc 3000.
i just got acebeam h30 headlamp, and the battery is too big to fit
its 5100 mah 21700 button top

lii-500 with lii-40A 21700 70.4 mm long - can be loaded but it is very tight, so strained until it causes small dents in the cell, I do not recommend

lii-500 with sofirn 21700 4000mAh 70.7mm length - you do not put in the charger, it is too long

I have Xtar MC1S and it can accept Lishen 21700, which is 71mm long, just fine (with about 0.5-1 mm to spare), but it won’t accept protected cells. Xtar is also having PB2S coming out.

The Xtar SC1 (2 Amps) charger will fit protected 21700 (tested the Rofis protected 5000mAh 21700 and Wuben 4800mAh protected 21700), no problems fitting in that single-slot charger.

The new Lii-402 and the new Lii-202 charger will be available from April. Production of the old Lii-402 and Lii-202 charger will cease.
The new charger will continue the old charger function. Just make the size bigger. The battery compartment was changed from the original 72mm to 76mm. The overall length has been changed from the original 112mm to 116mm. The width and height are the same.
This change is for a better fit for the 21700 battery.

My new cells, do not fit in my Li-500 Charger
Purple Shockli 21700 4550mAh High Drain 30A Flat Top.

My Xtar MC1+ accepts it without any problem, but is single cell only.

What charger do you recommend?
