Charging mAh

Hello,

I charged a 1.2v eneloop with my LiitoKala Lii - 202 charger. Its a 2 bay charger, I had 1 eneloop charging. The USB meter indicates 653 mAh was sent to the eneloop. Eneloops are rated at 1900 mAh. Does this mean the battery is dead? It seems to work ok otherwise.

It’s 653 mAh at ~5V via USB. The Eneloop is ~1.2V, so roughly 1/4 of input voltage. This means ~2612 (= 4 x 653) mAh at 1.2V at 100% efficiency of the charging process. Taking into account efficiency results in amount of mAh that went into the Eneloop cell.

You sent 653mah @ 5 volts.
The Eneloop is 1900mah @ 1.2 volts.

Volts x Amps = Watts (which is the actual amount of power)

That math is too hard for me to figure out. But accounting for losses I’d say it seems legit.
