Cheap Anker Flashlights

Has anyone owned any of the Anker range of flashlights? There power banks are always very good had two of them and was just wondering what there range of flashlights are like as there very cheap on Amazon here in the UK. Maybe a good host for modding, what’s everyone’s thoughts…

I had one of the original Anker LC40 (£8.99 one), I gave it to a friend.

It was OK for the money I guess, bright, more of a thrower light. It is bigger/fatter than normal 18650 flashlights, you need an adapter or adapters to use an 18650 with it as it comes with one of those 3x AAA cages, I used a couple of rubber rings I had hanging around.

The UI was very simple, you had to cycle though all modes to get to one you want including strobe and I don’t remember it having mode memory.

I don’t think the model I had would be any good for modding because the body was only two pieces, the head and battery tube were all one solid piece, I couldn’t see any way to get to the driver.

Maybe a gift for muggles…

Was it a plastic lense and reflector?

Lens was glass, don’t know about the reflector.
