I actually gave away two of those lights in the first link for christmas this year. I’m waiting on their reviews, they open them tomorrow. A friend of mine at work bought one awhile back, his uses a 26650 battery. It’s not really as bright as my 1000 lumen monster flashlight but it’s a really good deal for the price! I paid $16 each with 2 batteries and a charger included. The only downfall to those lights is that when you zoom out you can see the shape of the emitter in the beam, otherwise they’re awesome little lights. My friend had an issue with his endcap/switch a couple months after he bought it but I can’t remember what the problem was, obviously an easy fix if he got it to work again. The rubber has also split so it’s not waterproof anymore….for that price, awesome starter light!
they’re quite a bit bulkier than my tactical victor t6 light too.

My choice for a newbie would be a Convoy light. Cheap and well built.
convoy s2. if you wanna build it, get it from mtn electronics or if you just want the light and don’t mind waiting, get one from Simon’s convoy store in aliexpress. i would get some already made but prefer the led’s be on a noctigon/copper board —some already made lights have the led on an aluminum board
