Hello fellas,
long time no see. It seems I have no skills to use search function. I’m looking cheap 20-30 dollars (euros) zoomable thrower for autumn/winter use.
It’s not easy task. Cree led and compact size. I would like to have new led from Cree for this one. Feel free to delete this thread if needed.
- single 18650 battery
- throw over 500 meters
- as new as it can be Cree led

I don’t think one exists, even the best zoomies from led lenser only do like ~300m for the compact ones without a huge head.
You would need to mod something with a 30mm diameter or larger lens with an XP-L HI, dedomed XP-G2, or black flat running at high current.

Thank you Enderman, I was looking XP-L HI and XP-G3 for that purpose.
-No mods, just buy for 20-30 euros
-Zoomie
It seems I have to buy floodie.
Many thanks again.

The Brinyte B158B comes close, 450 meter, and it is in the right price class, $28, but I’m not sure if you consider it compact. Actually they sell the XP-L Hi version now and although throw is still listed as 400-500m, I expect it to be 800-900m ( https://www.gearbest.com/led-flashlights/pp_572166.html?vip=4444834&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIyYTUz5-f3QIVjuJ3Ch1XJA1EEAAYASAAEgJg-PD_BwE )
And this light has of course much more throw with a different led and driver, up to 1200 meter.

I this this is the closest option so far ^
220m, and that’s probably optimistic being a cheap chinese flashlight with 1800 fake lumens.

My time is limited for this flashlight. djozz , must pull the trigger in few hours. Brinyte XP-L Hi seems to be fine.

I know it’s a super fake. But change out the led and driver might make it come close to what he wants.
Sorry did not see that you do not want a project light.

I think someone from Brinyte posts in the Commercial sellers thread. You might ask them.

Btw, the Brinyte B158, which is almost the same light but with a thick ‘blob’ around the neck and is not available with XP-L Hi (so less throw), can be found in several places.

Any pointers? Estimate for throw? Thank you.
I don’t hate direct links.
