Color corrected metalens.

These are decendants of Fresnal lens. We can now get rid of the thick lenses. https://scitechdaily.com/researchers-shatter-impassable-barrier-in-camera-technology/

I’ll need those lenses to read the friggin’ light-gray-on-white text they’re using… :skull_and_crossbones::skull_and_crossbones::skull_and_crossbones:

It’s black text for me, sounds like you have a sick computer.

Same for me. :+1:

Image captions, too? “A new ultra flat lens…”, etc.

Gray on white.

Okay, you’re right, some of the text is gray on white.
It’s super-legible for me, though.
I’m guessing this is like “the dress.”
“The dress is actually blue and black, though most people saw it as white and gold, at least at first.” :man_shrugging:

Naw, this is like The Tablet. Straining to see microprint on an already small screen, only made worse by retarded design choices.

Yes, you’re right about the captions, I hadn’t noticed. Perfectly legible on my screen but they are grey.

It only took 10 years of incubation to see the idea become practical, lol. I wonder if the cct can handle light sources properly, or if a pre-blending medium will need to be used to smooth the image.
