complete UV flashlights, one 365 nm and one 385 nm+

Hello to all and thanks for letting me know about a UV flashlight you may be ready to sell.

I guess I am hoping to get lucky and find a decent or high quality ( fair price  ) flashlight for detecting odor sources, and also for outdoor treasure hunting. I am a newb that is on a learning curve while still on the uphill climb without the top in sight. Any help you can provide to educate me as to why your light might be benficial to me is greatly appreciated! I need all the help I can get……………

I really don’t want to get hooked on becoming a collector of flashlights, but becoming addicted has happened before with the only difference being higher-end headphones 0:)

Paypal seems to be common on posts I have viewed and it works great for me.

Cool beans to all and happy holidays!

Hey,

Welcome to "exchange your $$ for flashlights".... otherwise known as BLF ;)

Member Simon (Convoy Flashlight) sells a few ready-to-go UV lights at his AE store. Remember to contact him or put "BLF" in your order for the discount.

Looking at your other posts here, something like an S2 may be all you need, or at least a good starting point.

A few other members have done some UV testing as well, be sure to search the site for more info.

For the 365nm flashlight there are two good options, they use 18650 li-ion batteries:

and

A 385nm flashlight does not exist (I'm in the process of building one). A very cheap but well working 400nm flashlight, using a 16340 battery, is:

Thank you for your help. I feel like a youngster in a candy store all over again. I have been reading as many threads as I can and I am amazed at the unlimited data within this forum. Of course it is greek to me but I am quickly catching on. I suppose I must be very similar to other first time members trying to find exactly what I want but lack the knowledge to make a sound choice. time and luck will tell.

I will venture a guess and say I will be ordering a variety of lights, UV’s and now extreme-reaching white beams. Catching the power bug was mentioned to me in my “intro post” and I am already hooked in that category as well.

Thanks again for your help, it is greatly appreciated!

PS Simon is definitely on my list

I should also say that having an adjustable focus is high on my list. Having the ability to work in small (cars) or larger areas with the same UV light would be a great benefit to me. At least for now that is my thinking but of course I may be wrong.

I read this review (link below) and decided to place my first BLF order. I also sent a message to Convoy Flashlight and will wait to hear from him. In the meantime it seems every link referring to ordering one of these Convoys reroutes me to Aliexpress. I was expecting a U.S. retail house, or Simons personal business (?), which either is fine with me. Of course since I am new here and I don’t have a clue who the good and bad web retailers are, I can’t bring myself to register with any foreign website unless they are highly recommended. Also Aliexpress does not use paypal, which means I had better purchase a few prepaid credit cards for future orders.

I’d rather not order the light from anyone else, even if they do accept Paypal, as I would rather honor business with BLF affiliates.

Any thoughts to ease my buying blues? :_(

I believe Simon will allow you to use PayPal if you ask him.

I don't recall anyone having a bad experience dealing through him.

Thank you.
