conductive rubbery stuff that changes resistance when squished...

Going mad here, I just can’t remember the name of this stuff……please help!

Quantum Tunnelling Composite

Thanks CRX!

My head has stopped hurting now

Quantum Squishy Thing

I had this discussion with a physicist a year or so ago:

Me: What do you think of Quantum Tunneling Composite?
Him: I call B.S. — there’s no such thing.
Me: I thought you specifically worked with developing new materials.
Him: I do, which is why I know that there’s no such thing.
Me: Google is your friend?

Oops. Seriously, not many people have heard of this stuff. Its only practical use seems to be flashlights.

I seriously doubt that

You doubt that not that many people have heard of it, or you doubt that there’s a long list of practical applications? Or you doubt the story? I’m not sure what you are seriously doubting

I had seen the review where it was used as the driver. I wonder how hard it would be to use as a switch with a regular driver. Are there any analog inputs on an attiny13? I think that should save some wear on the ccomposite.

Skip the MCU altogether and use the QTC to drive the 7135's Vdd pins directly. Or just use the QTC alone, isn't that what it's made for?

only practical use is flashlights, the inventiveness of man is virtually unlimited

Here is my 26650 QTC XML light. No electronics, just QTC for infinitely variable output and the lowest of lows.
QTC is bypassed for max output - becomes direct drive.
