Posted here as a lot of flashlight folks are hikers, campers, cyclists etc and may use Contigo products or be aware of them.
Contigo makes some excellent stainless steel vacuum wall drink mugs with anti-spill tops but their QA and internal controls seem to be a disaster. I had a 20 ounce Autoseal West Loop stainless mug that was not keeping drinks properly hot or cold. Acting like it had lost vacuum as the outside surface got hot. I finally compared it with a 16 ounce version and determined that it was definitely defective. Contigo has a “lifetime” warranty so i contacted them and clearly stated my problem with their product.
They first sent me a new cap for my mug which solved nothing and I did not need. When I emailed them back they sent me a replacement mug but the 16 ounce version rather than the 20 ounce one like my original.
Recently they started listing a 24 ounce stainless steel vacuum mug with spill proof top, not available from Amazon, so I ordered one along with a 16 ounce handled version, again spill proof. The package arrived and when opened turned out to contain two of their all plastic cold drink containers with spill proof tops. Totally wrong items and worth about 1/2 what I paid though the paperwork in the box listed the items I had ordered rather than the actual contents so I have to presume that paperwork got placed with the wrong box and someone else got my order. Additionally the emailed tracking number arrived 36 hours AFTER the package delivery.
They are supposedly resending the correct items and we shall see if they manage to get things right this time but so far my Contigo experiences have been an ongoing disaster.
