At work I used my EDC as well as my Leatherman several times a day and pocket carry was impractical. Not only was pocket carry uncomfortable it wore out the inside of my pockets and fetching what I needed was a “right now” situation without fumbling for it.
It also seemed as if a battery would start to fail at the least convenient time and darkest spot so having a spare battery on hand without having to go back to my office in the dark was a plus.
To that end I use a leather belt holster that’s less bulky than full utility belt and small enough to not notice it’s there. The clip for office keys or a folding knife and D ring can come in handy also.
