convoy c8 ---quick spacer question

I’m planning on swapping out the xml2 in my convoy c8. (latest version). for an xp-l HI… do I need the xm to xp spacer that RMM sells? looking to get a tighter hot spot and more throw without dedoming —- I’m at 4.9A. or should I get an xp-g2 with a dome? I’m not going to dedome or change the driver so it’ll stay at 4.9

I ordered that from RMM and it fits the led, but it’s not snug around the reflector at all. am I doing something wrong? the regular xm spacer is tight with the reflector and led but this xp adapter is loose with the reflector

Probably not, but it’s easy to have it upside down.

should I even use it? seems like it’s not doing anything—-the noctigon is screwed to the shelf, but what about reflector height?

Somebody here did a test on reflector height for XPL HIs to find the optimal distance. It was recent…I’ll try to find it.
