I bought three of these. Two of them seem to be fine, but one was not functioning correctly. I took it apart and couldn’t see anything obviously wrong with it. So, I put it back together and it has worked fine since then. I noticed that some of the parts were not exactly tight when I was taking it apart. I guess that is what was wrong. This light is very bright! I’ve never had a C8 before. It’s nice. And yes, the scratch is very small, almost unnoticeable. I’m satisfied with my purchase. Thanks, Simon!

I had something similar, the pill? what contains the driver/emitter was loose. I think it loosened when I undid the top part where lens/reflector is to take a look and because reflector was in there tight it undid the pill a bit when unscrewing top part. Very happy with the light though.

Really interested in the details for new convoy c8.

I hope it has a a pill and reflector combination like the XinTD C8, where both parts a screwed together.

My guess is it will have the emitter shelf cast into the head like the other new convoys , should be able to drive it real hard

Perhaps when Simon introduce the new Convoy C8 he can as well offers a discount on the old batch of his Convoy C8.
