Convoy l2 driver retaining ring

Ok so I have a convoy l2 I bought a 20mm mtn 5.5 buck driver for and a dedomed Xpl v6 1a for. But for the life of me I can’t get the retaining ring out. Never had a convoy light I couldn’t get the ring out. I’ve tried both ways. Could someone please check and see if it’s regular or reverse threaded I’ve broken two pairs of tweezers trying to get it out. So for now it’s a nice paper weight. The driver in it burned up. My fault. Any tips or tricks for a stuck ring.

One member mentioned putting the head in a vice and using a pick and a hammer until it moves. With all the parts I’ve bought for it. I’d hate to have to buy a 30 dollar host to use them.

I’ve gone through multiple threads and YouTube videos and I can’t find any mention or video of disassembly that shows or tells the threading

I just went through this with a Convoy C8. I think it was glued in . The board was stuck to the ring when it did finally move . A little penetrating oil, a little heat , a lot of force with pointy pliers. Ended up stripping the threads or they were stripped from the factory and they added glue to lock it together? No one sells rings either.
