I would go for SFT-25R in 5000K. The Osram LED throws further but has an ugly super cold white tint, if that is something you care about.
W5050SQ5 in 6500K on the other side looks much nicer than the osram, if you want to have cold white
To stir things up, have a look at DDH(Dongdonghi) M4D and D5F.
Similar in head diameter, it can take a 26650 or 21700(with adapter sleeve).
Or even better, 26105 11Ah battery with the newly available tube.
Pair with XBY32 you gain 5A usbc onboard charging, actual useable ramping and an overall better UI(andruil mock).
And enough to power the F150R (18A + FET, configurable to 33A Buck Turbo) for pencil beans.
Strongly recommend the SFT25R 5000K also. The current batch has gone through multiple upgrades, with tint as good as the W5050SQ5 but noticeably better performance. The 2mm^2 Osrams are obsolete at this point when the SFT25R has better performance and tint.
Actually, I just did some research, and I think the SFT42R is a better choice overall (compared to the SFT40.)
Or, for even less throw and more lumens, there’s the SFT60 that Southerncomfort recommended.
That light is very impressive. The beam throw for that price is excellent.
The distance shown in the picture is 300 meters. It was significantly brighter in reality, though it was a bit difficult to capture properly with my phone.
A sensible person would reason that regretting not getting one over another is enough of a reason to get one in each flavor, accounting for the wallet, of course…
Yeah already ordered Convoy Z1 with SFT-25R and F45R. Also almost ordered a 3X21C with LHP531 but was unsure regarding the quality issues and the upcoming new driver.
