Convoy L21A SFT-90 20A Buck Driver Review & Beamshots Comparison Against L21B SBT90.2 18A Fet Driver
Great review!
How many lumens and how far do you believe it throws, please?
SFT90X has a Vf of about 3.8V at 20A. Most batteries will sag to or below this value at this current, which means they will lose regulation, brightness step down with the battery voltage. Using tabless batteries like JP40 can reduce the voltage drop. But using SBT90.2 with a lower Vf is a more ideal choice.
What to expect, regulation-wise, from L21A or B fitted with SBT90.2, 20A buck driver and low-sag battery like EVE 50PL?
At 20 A the Vf seems to be less than 3.4 V, and on the battery side the sag under such draw should be less then 0.3 V, so maybe more than 3.9 V for fresh battery under Turbo load.
Would the difference be enough to cover other components’ resistances and allow the buck driver to operate properly? For how long? How could the runtime on Turbo look like for such a setup?
hard to tell the exact difference, but it’s definitely better.
New trend. 10000000 Amps!
