Convoy L4 at Fasttech for $28.33 after BLF discount!

XM-L2 U2-1A and 4 modes. SMO Reflector looks the same or larger than a C8 but with a sweet side switch that looks like the one on the SRK. I've ordered mine already but am asking them to ship it Singapore Post or China Post due to all the delays with HKP right now. I can't wait to get my hands on this bad boy! Not as easy to mod as a C8due to the electronic switch but I much prefer this form factor. If it's anything like the rest of the Convoy lineup it should be a winner. Looks like it has an LD-34-A driver in it so it should perform very well.

This one looks like a winner, XM-L2 U2 at 3 amps goodness. Just ordered one too.

Once/if fasttech gets these in better tints, I’ll get one. Been on the fence ever since that promotional thread.

I figure on having to put a Noctigon in mine so what’s an emitter swap if I’m going that far anyway. :wink:

Thanks for the heads up. I've been hoping for a Convoy side-switch. Hopefully it will be available as a host sometime soon.

I added it to my cart but there it will stay until my last order gets out of HK, where it's been stuck since 9/4.

Remember the side switch only changes modes. Tail switch for on/off.

I’m actually on the fence about mine. I think if it was on/off with the side switch it would be a winner………

Electric. The tail switch allows easy lockout for no parasitic drain.

Ooooh very interesting. I’m tempted to make this my first lithium powered light, you really sold it in your other thread (at least I think it was you Johnny) correction it was f42’s review I was thinking of my bad :zipper_mouth_face: anyways he really made this sound like a great light!

ah damn, good thing i just saw your post. i feel the same way, if it was able to turn on/off using the side switch…or is the tail cap a lock out too, so that theres stand by ?

Must be turned on or off from the tailcap.

Untwisting the tail cap is a lockout.

Don’t think parasitic drain should be an issue since I think the tail switch is mechanical. Lockout is nice to prevent accidental activation though.

I may just end up this cool white version. Like many of us on this forum, I like modding and will likely put in some direct copper bond star.

if the light is identical with the one from manufacture direct sales (simon), it should have a copper pad already.
not sure how far the performance difference with noctigon…

It may come with a copper star, but I doubt it has a direct thermal path like a Noctigon or Sinkpad would.
