How long can the light run in the highest mode, second, and third highest? Before it’s too hot to hold?
Is it something like
1st mode -10 second
2nd - 45 second
3rd - 1.5 minute
Hello no answer…it’s a simple test can you do it right quick
At full blast, 20A, the head is too hot to hold after ~22s
High mode (35%) around 1 Minute
I don’t care about the head, I care about the farthest approximately 3 inches in the back of the flashlight near the tail cap, that’s where I typically hold it.
What about the other settings both turbo, high and medium, how long does the back of the flashlight take to get too hot, can it at least hold the second lowest mode for like 5 minutes without burning my hand
Buy it and check yourself.

Anyone have any issues activating / deactivating mode memory with theirs? Mine will only cycle to the next mode in whichever group I select… Menu option 1 works fine - I can set whichever group I want.
I’m not exactly a noob with Convoy - I know there have been past issues with some drivers - and no amount of half-presses or clicks in the 2nd menu option with change any behavior for me… I’ve cleaned all my contact surfaces, tightened both retaining rings and I’m using a fully-charged Molicel P50b.
Hope it’s not a buggy driver, I would prefer to have it always start on low.
Do you have a lighted switch? Certain color/driver combinations are known to mess with the UI. I don’t have a good guess aside from this.
Nah, just the standard white booted, non-illuminated one - silver body, so it didn’t come with a black boot.
Hot though to me it isn’t too hot to hold the barrel at any level, but then I don’t have girlie hands. Your experience may vary. This is an amazing flashlight and so is the M21G LHP73B 5000K.
I’m a car mechanic I have very thick skin on my hands I don’t believe that I don’t think you understood my question I said how long can you hold the light till the battery runs out I did not say for 60 seconds
Now it’s easier to not comprehend what you didn’t ask clearly:thinking:
. I think you may be asking about run times at different levels. Try a search on BLF or Google like, “LHP73B run time”.
I have my M21B LHP73B 5000K on group 8 which is; 0.1%=1 lm, 1%=100 lm, 10%=1000 lm, 50%=4000 lm. Run time at 50% holds for 1&1/2 minutes before temp begins ramping down to 1800 lm at 3 minutes where it remained stable until I turned it off at 15 minutes. I was using a Molicel P45B that was at 3.5V when I started, so well drained at the start. The M21B doesn’t have LVP, but when close to 3V it starts an intermittent flashing and it’s up to the operator to shut it down to keep from over discharge damage to the battery. That’s when I ended it and battery was at 3.15V when I put it in the charger.
Given that there is no punctuation used, it’s a bit more difficult to determine exactly what you mean, but I think it’s roughly something like this:
I’m a car mechanic. I have very thick skin on my hands; I don’t believe that. I don’t think you understood my question. I said how long can you hold the light till the battery runs out. I did not say for 60 seconds.
I said how long can you hold the light till the battery runs out.
In your previous posts in this topic, you said this:
I don’t see you mentioning anything about “how long you can hold it before the battery runs out”, only about it getting too hot (to hold). But maybe I’m missing something?!?
Besides this, I fully agree with @QReciprocity42 his post earlier in this topic:
Asking something in a pleasant, non-demanding way, will more likely result into getting an answer than asking it in a blunt or pressuring way, which might actually keep someone from answering.
