Do you guys prefer Convoy or SolarForce for hosts and as complete lights? Why?
Is one superior to the other?

I’d say it depends.
For convenient, modern EDC use - I use Convoy (S2+)
For more rugged, adaptive use (own several pills) around my car, garage, backyard - I’d use one of my P60 Solarforce lights.
I find the anodization, weight, overall build and ruggedness better on the SF.
The more “slim”, elegant feel is with Convoy.
It also depends on light output and modding potential - if you want a FET driver I’d say it works in Convoys, a P60 light will max out at around 3.8-4.5 amps for heat transfer but I have tried more before with copper wraps and outside in the cold.
I agree, I think the finished quality of the SF lights is very very good, a step above Convoy. The P60 design itself isn’t very good for high performance though. I personally wouldn’t do any more than 3amps in a P60 unless you wrap your drop-in very tightly.
Hard to compare really, i love the s2+ convoys for lots of options and a compact 18650 form(or 18350). Certainly for EDC uses as said, the convoy offer a more compact option, even V the L2M shorty 18350 size(bulk)
Solarforce are great as hosts, easy to pimp and of course lots of p60 options

………….you need both :+1:
