Is/are Convoy S2+ “Desert Tan” color, the same as the ones currebtly offered on GB & BG as “Sandy?
The body color is the same but different e-commerce websites sell them with slightly different specs.

Yes, but note that the Desert Tan model sold directly on the Convoy store at AliExpress comes with newer, improved firmware by default. The ones on GearBest come with the old firmware.
The new Biscotti firmware makes for a better user experience - it lets you choose how many modes you want, whether you want the modes to go low~~high or high~~>low, etc. Would definitely recommend it over the old firmware.
but if I remember correctly the biscotti on S2+ has the fast timer issue right?
The one I ordered back in late September didn’t have that issue.
Even if you get one with that problem, it just makes it harder to switch mode groups, and maybe makes strobe act weird. If you don’t care about strobe, the fast timer won’t affect normal operation.
