Back in Feb of 14 I baked a black Type III Solarforce M8, had Bucket make a new copper pill section for it. The baked color came out with a military color that, similar to what your’e seeing on this sand attempt, is lighter or darker depending on the light hitting it. Some situations it looks Olive Drab, other’s it’s closer to Desert Storm Sand color. At any rate, with the block stamped text style it looks really good and Bucket’s copper pill made it work exceptionally. (It’s an MT-G2 mod with a Tofty clicky)

That last picture looks like coyote brown. When i google FDE i get tons of different colors. I hope i can buy a beretta M9 a3 or a Walther PPQ FDE next year when i have my license, both are in FDE but definately more greenish
The new color sample is being made now but at this time of year there is no way to say when we will see it. China is in mass production of everything right now, so little projects like this don’t get high priority. I’m very excited to see this one too but it’s not going to happen until sometime early next year if I had to guess.
I think it might pay to wait a little while,
don’t know what Sake or other spirits they drink on New Years but I think a high BAC might cause a temporary color blindness. :cowboy_hat_face:
It’s a pretty busy time for Simon right now catching up from CNY. I’m waiting for him to get to a point where we can resume regular conversation. Communication is quite sparse right now. I’ll talk to him about this one again soon though. That last color sample he sent me was pretty sweet. A tad dark but just a little…
