Hi all,

I fitted a lighted tailcap to my S2+ with Biscotti firmware, along with a bleeder resistor. It worked fine initially, switching modes as it should. A couple of days later though, and it seems to be misbehaving. Switching modes will happen at random - often you press the button and nothing, sometimes it will change.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

replace tail cap with paper clip to determine if without tail LED it works

usually those drivers do not like tail LEDs with too high current for medium presses, but short should always work

Since posting this thread I “returned the light to stock” - I removed the lighted tailcap and removed the bleeder resistance. No difference :frowning:

Probably flash corruption, Been discussed elsewhere. It is real. And can only be fixed (maybe only temporarily) with a re-flash.

Not Convoy’s finest hour. Nevermind the clock speed weirdness that can upset certain behaviour.

Nor TK’s.

Avoid.

Thanks. I did find some other threads referencing similar problems.

I’m going to solve this problem by popping in either a BLF A6 or a Led4Power LD-A4 driver (haven’t decided which one yet… One’s going in this light, the other is going in another S2+ build  )
