Sorry I don’t fully understand the picture. The circled spot is I suppose the thermal sensor controller, but what should we do to disable it if we don’t want the temperature control on the SST40 4-mode driver? The circled part has to be unsoldered? Pardon my ignorance…
Yes, I think some only exist in spec sheets. Kind of like “if we were to produce some, this would be the item number for it”.
For endeavors such as this, Octopart is a great resource… just search for the Cree order code. Pretty much anything I’ve found has a 1000pc MOQ though. AVNET supposedly has it in stock (with the 1000pc MOQ). Other places such as Mouser and Digikey also list it, “non-stocked” with 1000pc MOQ meaning that you should be able to place an order (for 1000pcs) and they’d procure it for you.
Now if you don’t mind going for the ANSI versions instead of the EasyWhite versions, you can get the XHP35-HI 4000K 90-CRI in B4 flux bin (XHP35A-H0-0000-0D0UB40E5) from Mouser in 1pc increments for USD $6.50
I was able to get 2 minutes runtime from the M3 on turbo … on a bicycle, while I was in motion.
I had to switch it off, because someone appeared in the road, and I did not want to blind him/her
Actually, id I don’t want to see very much ahead, but just avoid from overhead trees, etc, the High mode is just enough. I even put a lens in front of it to have a wider beam, which of course make the hotspot less bright.
