A single example?
Multiple people have reported their wires desoldering on reddit, they fixed it themselves by resoldering them. I also had more people contact me after my review to say it also has happened to them.
But this person’s unit didn’t have dual springs. I’m the only one that added dual springs, I sent you my photo on Alibaba.
Multiple people have had their wires desolder without any spring modification.
Simon, my springs collapsed on fet turbo with just the single springs using Molicel P45B’s. The springs have to be bypassed or the use of double springs to prevent this from happening with high current cells. Mine overheated at around 40 seconds of fet turbo. They also collapsed for another person who reached out to me.
Here’s my springs (left) that collapsed…
I added double springs to to the other set of springs to prevent this from happening again. I can now run full turbo for 50 seconds without the springs getting hot. The spring issue only affects the LHP531 version.
Have you at least started using shorter screws into the reflector? The screws are too long causing the overheating of the wires because there’s not enough pressure against the MCPCB to transfer the heat to the shelf. The screws are 15mm and should be like 12mm long.
Before I used spacers for the screws, my LEDs were overheating and the output was dropping on turbo really fast.
This video is with the screws at 15mm how the unit arrives with the reflector rattling. These no pressure on the mcpcb.
This video is with the screws shortened to 12mm
