Is the TIR optic from the T5 compatible with 5050 sized emitters?
I assume the TIR optic from the T5 is the same as the 17mm H1 optic listed in your store. The description says it is for 5050 emitters but does it work well with 3535 emitters? Or is it too big to stay centred on the emitter?
For those who are interested, there is a update (or no update, thats depending on you):
To this day I got no replacement drivers with proper MCU and also no refund. Conversation was not successful at all. I think, I will open a Aliexpress dispute about this since I want at least my money back. The pictures in the item description of this driver I ordered are still wrong to this date. I ordered 5 pcs of this driver, to have at least a few of them to get something done, which has the proper Attiny MCU on it.
I am very disappointed about this and the wasted money and now I have to check where I get drivers from another source. If someone knows a source of 105c drivers or Attiny based ones (would pay some euros per piece for them), I would be very happy. I also found two older 105c drivers in my ‘waste box’ which I can repair.
Using the 3x21C host and 3x21B driver, it should be possible, though they would not be anywhere near as bright as SFT40 in the same host with the FET driver.
At present, the position where the drive circuit is installed has not been changed.
The position of the magnet has been reserved at the tail of H4.
I will customize some magnets in the future.
I know. I was fooled by these pics. The drivers I got are useless due to random Chinese MCU. If these random MCUs were shown in the pics I would never had ordered these drivers.
I am tired to repeat myself like I did on Aliexpress chat more than one time, even with a link to exact the BLF post which explains everything. I just want the drivers like shown on the pics or my money back. I will now order 105c from Kaidomain. (Just one at first to check if these are right, I was warned by this experience some weeks before.)
And I don’t get it why still the wrong (very misleading pics) are still shown in the Aliexpress store.

SFT-40 in a small host like T5 will be extremely underpowered. But for a given amount of power it is still more efficient than other smaller emitters so it’s worth a try. However I doubt Convoy has a suitable MCPCB with 5050 foot-print for T2/T3/T5 ATM.
I’m pretty sure there’s a T2/T3/T5 MCPCB in Simon’s Aliexpress store for 5050 emitters, he added it recently. I just thought he would have added the option in the T2/T3/T5 to choose SFT40. Also @Simon_Mao can you add the option to buy with 14500 battery on the new colours of T5?
