A bit of test outside somewhere around the river.
The water bushes are around 35 meters away
All 3 with 100% mode stock configuration.
WB locked to 4000K, SS 1/5, ISO 500. Tried to match the current lighting at night.
This LHP73B is so powerful it heat up the head in just a few seconds.

Do we have an estimate of when all the W5050SQ5 CCT’s become available? In a few weeks, a month, 2 months?
Also: is the slim battery tube T3 only available in pink, or do any of the colors have slim tube? Does the T5 have a slim tube option?
2 Thanks
He just released 3 titanium patterns with the slim tube

B35AM 4500k for the win. For actual use probably my most favorite among all of tint-snob Nichia’s, including the famous 219b sw45k.

These do look awesome, though I’m after aluminum for budget and thermal reasons.

The answer is simple, buy 100,000 aluminum T3s so that Simon can switch to the new batch.

That sends the message that the current fat tubes are so good that some guy is willing to buy 100,000 of them, so the logical response from Simon would be to continue with fat tubes!

I believe he already has the slim aluminum colors in his warehouse, he’s only waiting for the old bodies to sellout, that way there won’t be an interruption in stocking. I haven’t asked him however, only assuming.

Just had a reviewer report to me that his 3X21C LHP531 failed after 20 seconds on FET Turbo. He had even carried out my mod with shortening the mcpcb screws, but looks to be insufficient pressure still. I used P45B’s and could hold 50s fet turbo, he held turbo for 20s with 50PL’s before it failed and at 20s he said it was too hot to hold, so those cells were pushing it way harder. Turn on measured almost 38K lumens.
This needs urgently fixing with screws through the mcpcb and into the shelf, either that or a limit on the FET channel. The LHP531 is drawing over 100A. My meter maxes out at 100, so who knows what it Is. At 100A, that’s already 5A over spec per emitter.

Which is double the stated current of 54 A in FET mode.
Wow.
Do you know if the 3X21E has the same flaws? I ordered one for a project and I will check for any flaws before powering on turbo.

At present, only 6500k can be purchased from the manufacturer.Other color temperatures are still in sample production.
The current T3’s silver and pink battery tubes are lanky.
The battery tube of the T5 flashlight has not been changed.

FET drivers have no current regulation. That’s the whole point of how they work. The current only depends on battery voltage, LED forward voltage, and combined series resistance of battery, springs, FET, wires and PCB.
The specced current on the FET drivers is probably what they were designed to deliver.

Not so sure. I know how FET work, but double the current as stated in the item description is way too much. Also I wondering which current the FET used can handle in the long term.

There’s simply nothing the driver can do about it… That’s why I hate FET drivers. Garbage technology. But people want it, some because of the low cost and some because of the crazy turbo bursts.
