I had trouble finding a holster/pouch/case for my BTU Shocker.
Then I came across this Lowepro lens case at Avidmaxoutfitters.com (10% off with promo code retailmenot with free shipping to the lower 48 - great merchant).
The flashlight head fits snuggly inside the interior cushioning, so although the case is not form-fitted to the battery tube the light doesn’t really wiggle all that much and the padding prevents any possible damage if it does (remember this case is built for expensive camera lenses).
The case is a wee bit too long, so I placed about an inch of packing foam in the bottom so the light doesn’t lie so deep inside the case. There’s even a little cargo net pocket inside the lid of the case that you can store spare batteries, etc.
It has several straps which provide many different options for attaching the case to a belt, leg brace, backpack, etc., and it even comes with a removable shoulder strap! (I installed some clips to make it easier to detach the strap from the rings on the case).
Pretty cool, I have a BTU shocker and I have been thinking about how to pack it. I probably wont buy this one because it’s expensive but It does give me some ideas.
That’s a great “budget” alternative, but I don’t think the length will allow for any storage in the mesh pocket. Also, the extra .8” of space inside might allow for more wiggle room for head. The Lowepro is a perfectly snug fit.
