Sometimes facts are different to different people! I still like what the German doctor said as it still makes the most sense to me, but just my opinion
As far as the covid-19 test goes, results are sketchy at best from so much of what I have read lately. On a good note, I read today that the BC government will talk this week about maybe lifting restrictions locally such as interior BC where we live. Makes sense as never heard of anyone getting sick here. Nurses tell me they don't know of any either.

Facts are the same for everyone, that is what facts are.
And there is opinions, beliefs, politics, whatever, but please use the word facts for actual facts. The idea of language is that people understand each other, that works if for people of the same language words have the same meaning for everyone, that is an important thing.

Facts are facts until they are not and sorry, they aren't the same for everyone. Keeping an open mind and using reason has destroyed many so called facts. No different than the law of physics until a new discovery comes along and the fact changes.

It’s the internet. You’re supposed to spread misinformation. That’s the whole point of it.

On Thursday, Mesoblast told the Australian stock exchange it had secured an agreement with the US National Institute of Health to test its stem cell treatment on coronavirus patients and establish whether it will reduce the mortality of patients with severe respiratory illness caused by the virus.
The company’s Remestemcel-L product will be evaluated in a trial of 240 patients with COVID-19 to test its effectiveness in treating acute respiratory distress syndrome. This can occur after the body’s immune system has an excessive response to the virus, called a cytokine storm, which in turn results in damage to lung tissue.
The mortality rate of those with acute respiratory distress syndrome because of coronavirus is as high as 80 per cent.
Remestemcel-L has been developed for other inflammatory conditions and was successful in a Phase-3 trial in children to treat a condition called acute graft-versus-host disease, a condition in which the body’s immune cells attack healthy cells after a bone marrow transplant.
The thinking is that those with acute respiratory distress syndrome have similarities in terms of the inflammation response seen in those with acute graft-versus-host disease.
Dr Itescu said the company will evaluate whether the treatment will reduce coronavirus mortality rates within a 28-day period.
It will take around three months to recruit patients for the trial but there should be some indications of the treatment’s effectiveness as early as July, he said.
“It will then be to sit down with the FDA and talk about whether the data is strong enough. [If it is], what we need to plan for is how to scale up manufacturing.”

“Iffin’ they done heard it on talk radio or the interwebs it musta be true Cletus”
True dat Clem, now pass the shine now boy, don’t be Bogartin’ that thang.
Yep.
I think the relevant point is that information based on verifiable scientific studies done with enough subjects or other appropriate data collected to provide a valid statistical analysis of the results, and conducted with reliable methodology (e.g., randomized, double-blind treatments and placebo controls), is more reliably viewed as fact than is information based on preliminary, non-controlled studies on too few people to render valid statistical analysis and reliable results, and information based on biased assumptions, political views, conspiracy theories, and even what “makes sense” to us at the time.
One can call any whim, idea, or imaginary thing a fact. However, some facts are more reliable as a measure of what is real than others, depending on where those facts come from and how they are derived. Human beings are notoriously bad at making judgments about reality based on what they perceive and interpret using their eyesight, hearing, and “common sense.” This has been proven repeatedly in a laboratory setting. It is also proven every day in the criminal justice system, where eyewitnesses repeatedly demonstrate that they can’t reliably describe a person they saw clearly just seconds earlier.

It’s worse than that. They can clearly describe what they remember seeing and it’s usually completely incorrect. Yet they remember it clearly.

The noted economist, Martin Armstrong, made an interesting blog post this morning regarding the reporting of Covid-19 deaths:
I have a friend in London whose mother went to the hospital and he knew she was near death. After two days, the hospital claimed she died of the Coronavirus. He said how since she did not go in with that? The joke in London is that COVID-19 is the miracle cure. Nobody in London has died from a heart attack, only COVID.
Senator Dr. Scott Jensen of Minnesota came out to expose how the AMA is encouraging American doctors to overcount coronavirus deaths across the US. He showed a 7-page document coaching him, as a doctor, to fill out death certificates with a COVID-19 diagnosis without a lab test to confirm the patient actually had the virus. Why? Because of the package for this relief, hospitals are paid more to attend this virus. NOBODY is dying of the flu any more – only COVID-19.
That’s not an accurate account of the news story, which was published in a Tennessee publication. The document at issue allegedly was published by the US Centers for Disease Control and sent to state doctors in Minnesota by the Minnesota Dept of Health, not the AMA. Jensen is a member of the State Senate, not the US Senate.
The letter at issue does not encourage or recommend that doctors falsify a diagnosis, but attempts to come to grips with the dilemma posed by the lack of available C-19 testing in the US, and the resulting impossibility of determining without a doubt that someone has died from coronavirus or from another infection causing similar symptoms. The letter does not make any recommendations for the purpose of gaining relief funds for hospitals or doctors.

There is more fake news and conspiracy theories than sane people can bust. I hoped that people would check their stuff before posting it here, but in the absence of that I’m really glad that there are a few people who tirelessly correct those posts.

Yep. There are legions of highly motivated fools working together on Reddit to blame anyone and everyone they don’t like. And normal people have better things to do than get together and argue with them. Heck, simply being argued with would make them feel like they are the lighthouse.

I'm feeling much better today.
Looks like I'll have to take this pandemic one day at a time.
Yep, PA (Pandemics Anonymous) worked wonders for me, too.

Bleach Concentrations
There are so many conflicting formula for making a correct bleach to water ratio out there.
Even the CDC has different pages that seemingly contradict each other.
Too many places say use XX amount per XXX.
But they never state the original bleach concentration.
Here is an on line calculator that lets you input your desired concentration, say 1000ppm.
You enter the bleach concentration you have on hand, and the amount of cleaner you want to have on hand.
Remember that once mixed the solution should be used within 24 hours as the bleach water mix degrades.
I’m also going to start a thread with this topic since this will quickly get buried here.
Keep Safe,
All the Best,
Jeff
