The President of Tanzania talks about Covid-19 detected in their food supply.
If there’s Covid in the jackfruit, does it mean jack?
So what’s his point, that the tests are meaningless/inaccurate? That someone’s deliberately screwing with the results?

They really should stop buying fake tests from AliExpress.

I’d like to know more about these tests that government officials are apparently able to do, taking only 5 minutes for a result. We should have something for public consumption OTC similar to a pregnancy test—just pee or spit on it and it’ll give a result in 5~15 minutes. $6.

Our Gov. opened up more counties to yellow status. One of the areas is the Pittsburgh area with over 3000 cases. Our rural county with just over 100 cases remains closed until June 4. I can’t understand the logic.
Government + logic = non sequitur
Agreed. The ideal test would be something like a pregnancy test that we can get at our local drug store, use at home and get almost instant results.
Such tests for Covid-19 do exist, but unfortunately they have proven to be wildly inaccurate. None are FDA approved as being reliable.
Hopefully someone will come up with a reliable test like that soon.

I can picture it now.
Doctor: Here, take this Covid test.
Patient: I say, piss on your Covid test!
Doctor: Yes, exactly. The restroom is down the hall to your left.

Painfully accurate summing-up:
I can see it now, the email exchange…
“Can you send pictures?”
“Can you send video of problem?”
“Can you go to post office, please check.” (Wait, what??)
“We can give you 5.00 coupon for next time, is that okay?”
That’d drive Mr Tanzania to drink…
They better not try that over here. Local pollies like Grace Meng would throw a hissy-fit.

You guys may have been the reasoning behind our Gov. not opening my county. Memorial Day would have been a shot in the arm around here yet he’s waiting to June 4th. Me thinks it is not a coincidence. Gotta keep the damn New Yorkers out.

Umm, I meant she’s been all over the news lately like stink on a monkey, and got her panties all in a twist because of people calling it “the Chinese flu”, “the Wuhan flu”, etc.
Opening up counties to “yellow status” would send her into an apoplectic fit with no coming back.
She’d probably turn all green, bulk up to twice her mass, grow horns/fangs/claws, and go on a killing rampage.
Not a pretty sight…

I never heard of her. Sounds scary.
All of Pitt. opening up except one county. The DA said he would not prosecute businesses that defy the order in that county. State said any state licenses could be in jeopardy. It is starting to get a little weird. There is one county with 1 covid case and it is not on the opening list. WTH.

Pennzy, check out this article.
Some of out counties near me are not playing nice, will be interesting how Wolf responds.

Most local pollies want to make a name for themselves, so they’ll latch on to one thing and make it their crusade. The whole Titalic could be sinking, but they’ll make a name for being all gung-ho for deck-chair orderliness.
(Whups, I said “gung-ho”…

I generally am a Wolf backer. I just want to feel we are all being treated equally.
Hjeh, am I the only one who thinks that guy looks like Jonathan Doors (David Hemblen)?
(Uhh, yeah, probably.
