first one is reverse gear light for my car, its a 10W led with 12-24V driver.
i took the power straight from the original reverse gear bulb.
the LED is mounted on a copper, i used a silicon to glue the 2mm glass to make it waterproof.
the second mod is for my dmm, so i will get accurate amper reading, soldered thick wires to the female banana plug base = low resistance.
Did you leave the original bulb in place? Its hard to put an age on your car, but my my 2010 Audi needs to have at least the right resistance showing across a bulbs terminals, otherwise the control unit tells me i have a bulb out !!!
its 2006 nissan and its dosn’t have sense resistor, so i left the original bulb inside, actualy, my thought was if the fuse will hold up the extra 1A, but he did ok,
an easy way around could be to use a relay though.
LED+driver, you can get all over eBay, mine was a bundle of driver+10W LED
with this cheap Chinese LEDs, i always get the cool wight, the worm wight is abit too brown IMO.
