I recently ordered this XML Zoom from GearBest-
Does it appear to be an authentic Ultrafire or a copy?
Would you call it an SK98?

It's an SK98 clone, not a true UltraFire because there's no branding on it. True UF here: http://www.ultrafire.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=870&product_id=8216
For that price it will probably have a LatticeBright fake XML, I'd think.
I think you're probably right-
Thanks!
Its still not a bad light I purchased one off GB a couple months back. It wasn’t horrible stock. I sent it off to a member here to mod. Put a new driver a chunk of copper behind it to increase heat conductivity with beryllium copper driver spring I believe he bypassed the tailcap as well and put a xml2 u4 dome on and now its a brand new light all together about $15 I use it as a edc at times and at night as a night light in the hallway for my daughter. For about $10 in parts you can make it awesome. A xpl hi will go in but will still make the square when zoomed in. Will only accept flat tops
Good to know, gives me some idea's...
Thanks!
No problem here’s what he did
put an XP-L HI on a 20mm Noctigon in the Blue Swirl, with a fat chunk of copper pressed into the hollow pill and glued to the head and mcpcb with Arctic Alumina Thermal Adhesive so it should handle heat somewhat better. I used a 20mm to 17mm brass adapter and put a 17mm FET+1 driver in it with A6 firmware, set at 4 modes.
It’s pretty snug with a button top cell, you should probably use a flat top to get the tail cap to screw on properly.
Bypassed the spring with a Turnigy 22ga (might be 24) lead inside the brass cap, the driver spring is one of the thick beryllium copper, so it should be good. But hr didn’t like xpl hi square and changed it to the xml2 u4 with the dome and said it seems more intense with XML zoomed in
It would be closer to the SK98 because of the 18650 battery. I would call it a copy as I don’t think any of those lights are original anymore!
