So the price seemed pretty good @$80 from that seller on the bay. Bought it and it was delivered yesterday. What a heavy monster, I love it and it is bright as all get out. Problem is, the SS bezel and rear cap must be loctited in. I've read a few posts and did some searching about how to get this bad boy apart. Doesn't look like its going to be easy.
Anyone have any tips on liberating this thing from its Loctite prison? I need to get a Noctigon on this thing and braid the tail cap springs.
Most loctite types will be weakened by heat. I know where are a couple of ways to go about it, but the way I did my tn31 was to put it in a ziplock bag and into a pot of boiling water for a few minutes. Then a few turns of a strap wrench and it came apart.
Boiling water for a few minutes.....I can try that.

EDIT 2: the reflector is plastic in this thing! Very disappointed!! Ooops, sure seemed like it until I actually got it out. Felt soft when I slightly poked the edge with a pin.
Edit: I'm going to need a strap wrench...I'm not as strong as I used to be apparently...I think I pulled a muscle in my shoulder...
A couple of 36 inch pipe wrenches would make fast work out of this.....lol
Aaah! Was able to get the bezel off without heat, I just kept on screefing on it till it finally budged. Now I just need to get the bottom cap off..
