I'm still going to get the light, I'm just wondering if there are any mode problems. I keep hearing about mode problems.
I haven't had any with mine and I bought it as soon as it came out.
EDIT: The original 7G5 I have is underdriven but I haven't had any other problems with it. The 7G5-V2 has been trouble free.
I'm the one that said I have had trouble with 2 Crelant 7G5's. The first one I had was underdriven and not near as bright as my second one. But the first one I had would not change modes correctly. And it wasn't me not knowing how to operate the light. The 2nd one I got is one heck of a thrower. But a little over a week ago I was talking to rikr on the phone and I was playing with the Crelant 7G5 and it started going crazy and not allowing me to operate it to switch modes. It started strobing and going through like different modes on its own. Then it wouldn't even power on. I had Xtar 18700 2600MAH batteries in it. I took them out and put some Trustfire flames in in it that were fully charged. It did the same dang thing and started going crazy and then it wouldn't come on. I told Rick that I have about had it with Crelant. I took the tailcap apart and it seems to be working ok now. But I am leary of buying Crelant from now on. This makes 2 now that have been problems.
And I know others here that have had the 7G5 first version that said the same dang thing that they couldn't get it to switch modes.
I sure wish Crelant would get their bugs fixed before they screw their customers with either a underdriven flashlight or one that won't work properly.
