hi there, if you could help please…thanks.

i have a flashlight needing UI modification and would be sending it from the UK to the US, but when I send it, or even get it back into the UK, do I still need to pay any customs charges considering its used, and its mine just being sent & received back for like a repair privately.
?.
worth it?.

If its a gift worth less than £36 then UK customs do not charge vat and Royal Mail will not charge you £8 for the privilege of paying the vat (I found this out the hard way!) Not sure about US customs though….

Could you just send the driver instead?
