I just got some D1V2s with B35AM finally.
I know that before you had to disable turbo, then set ramp ceiling to a safe level in order to keep the emitter from smoking.
Was the fix at Hank’s end essentially that workaround, another firmware solution, or was it a hardware fix?
I ask because I upgraded the firmware on one of them, which re-instates default settings, and disabled turbo out of caution to protect the emitter just in case.
Is that still necessary? I couldn’t find a solid answer.

Very likely lower hardware current limit, Hank prefers using the same firmware for the different output variants of the same driver.

The B35AM D1V2 gets its own specific boost driver? I am very curious about this. It’s an almost-free light, but the specifics are intriguing nonetheless.
It’s not just the firmware, the driver is different. Slightly.
So it does kind of get its own boost driver, but not really because it’s almost entirely the same as the other boost drivers just with a few different resistor values or something like that.
The 6v and 12v boost drivers both use the exact same version of anduril.
Good to know. With more fragile emitters I prefer a hardware solution.
