D4V2 Moonlight question

Just got my D4V2 E21A 3500k. This is my first Anduril light and so far I am having a lot of fun with it.

I know the ramp floor is set slightly higher than other versions because the E21A can have a slight flicker on level 1.

I set mine to level 1 to see if there was any flickering and I think there is a very slight visible flicker. Hardly noticeable, and I would prefer to keep the floor on level 1. Is there any harm in keeping it on that level with the flicker? I don’t see a reason why it would cause any harm but just want to sure so I don’t mess up my new light.

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I am no expert despite the hours and hours I spent researching this light before buying it.

On an unrelated note. I have a FW3A Nichia219c, a KR4 E21A 3500k, and another D4V2 E21A 2000k coming in the mail. I think you can probably say I have been bitten by the flashlight bug.

It won’t cause any damage. It’s just due to the mosfet being run at a current lower than spec. You might also see a delay in turning the light on at that level or the LEDs might extinguish completely if you ramp all the way down while the light is hot.

Thanks for the reply!

I do notice the slight delay. But neither the flickering or the delay bother me enough to not have the lowest moonlight option.
