Go the 910 it’s on sale there.

Personally I’d go the Ganzo latest D2 models.
Better steel.
Thoigh I don’t like the straight sided knife handles to work with.
Loose grip. Wet or greasy.
TOO easy for hand to slide down onto cutting edge in my eyes.
I never but any knife without a guard or tang built in to handle…

Well, if he’s a knifemaker or modder or knife sharpener than I wouldn’t mind that, working with sharp objects usually brings to light some juice of life.

But I agree, the dragon is somewhat cheesy even though I wouldn’t mind if this knife was available in a bigger version.
(Well there is, the Ruike P801 which is a flipper and costs too much for what we’re used to pay for a Sanrenmu made knife.)

I’d like to see the scale before SRM’s hand sanding (the lines where not straight), just stamped in the dragon might look better.

I didn’t really like the dragon so I used the scrap wheel cover from a wheelchair on job and made a new front scale.

I should really invest more time into better pictures…

I am not really a knife guy, but after reading this thread I bought two models. The 7010 and the 1161. I can not wait to try them out, though mainly I will cut cardboard with them so I will be sure to sharpen them often.

I don’t think anybody would use it for that… but that is what it is

This is what I love about Asian product design/engineering and manufacturing… they come up with ideas that really stand out.

To clarify a misconception: the pocket clip does not serve as an overtravel stop. It is not positioned sufficiently to serve this purpose. You can easily overtravel a 7010 lockbar if you are not careful.

Suggested replacement? Personally I like the 7063 with axis-lock:

7073LUC is also very nice, similar size to 7010 but much more refined.

In approx 2014 they changed to a hidden stop pin, hidden detent ball hole, drilled some stress-relief holes at several positions etc.

Mark M, my folders will never see cardboard; I consider that to be blade abuse! For cardboard (I cut hundreds of boxes every year) I prefer the Alltrade 150003 Auto Loading Utility Knife.

7010 came in today, and in no way could this be used as a nail file. Ok, maybe with a lot of time. The stippling is too fine to be used in that manner. It does provide some extra grip and is not annoying like I thought it would be, the knife is very sharp so I am happy.

Gearbest saved me some money (I’m trying to look on the positive side). After more than 2 months had gone by and no ship notice came from Gearbest, I requested and received a refund from them. I’ve moved on and bought some other knives in the meantime.
