Dark Halloween Night, UF 2010HD, no one noticed

Hello everyone. My wife and I took our daughter to Thomas Road Baptist Church tonight to go be with other kids and have fun. The place was packed both inside and out. To give you an idea the sanctuary holds 7000 and you could not move in there, the main lobby or outside, so the place was packed. We stayed to the outside bit and did a “trunk or treat” where people where giving gifts and candy out of their cars. There I was with my UF 2010HD with a fully charged 18650 in it. My wife said you could see the beam move through the night air and from the end where we started the light was making the front of the church glow. No one noticed. I took an orange cone and put the light in it un fast blink mode just to get a reaction, no one noticed. I then made the church stone from a distance with the fast blinky and no one noticed. I finally came up to a kid who was dressed up like a football player, helmet and all. He was interested in the light and wanted me to light him up, so I did. I told him to close his eyes as the light was very bright, so he did. I then put it in his helmet facing up so it would make his face strobe in blinky mode. His exact words were”Daddy, I see red”. I tried to get close enough to the 30-40 feet tall bouncy casle with multi floors in it and a huge slide, but I couldn’t, way too much line. I wanted to light that up from the inside out. LOL The funny part of the entire night out was I had in my hand one of the brightest flashlights many people have ever seen, and no one noticed. LOL

I'm surprised no one noticed. I was out walking around near a bunch of people and someone noticed my TK35 clone.

Took my two daughters out from home to home and just down the street a guy giving out candy commented… He said: “wow, is that thing ever bright!… What the hell is that? A Fenix or something?” I walked up and handed him the 7G9, it was like handing over a toy to a little kid. He went on to say… “ahh yes, Crelant… They make great lights…” kids were pressing on so I had to cut the conversation short. In all I can honestly say this light lit up the neighborhood fairly well. My eldest daughter remarked afterwards and said to me, you see dad…there are more like you.

My kids are past trick or treating but I went out with an old friend with younger kids. I gave him a cut down, Match modded AA Mag with an XM-L and 14500 last New Years eve which he shows off regularly (he’s a techno-geek).

As we strolled he would occasionaly light it up and get comments from folks in our party or passers-by about how bright it was. Eventually, while he was lighting up a long, wooded drive for the kids I turned on my IMR powered, L2m with a home made tripple XP-G. “Matt, I think you’re out lighting me a bit”, maybe I’m not on high (he fiddled with the three mode a bit). “No, I guess not”. “And the light looks much better” (the Mag is cool white, the L2 is neutral).

Slowly, we turn them…
