Just 41 posts away, you one-armed chatterbox! :crown:

Thanks for the sweet give away

Heck naw!

Please count me in. Thank you for doing the give away. Keep posting

You talk too much!

Spending so much time posting and modding lights can't leave much time in the darkroom to develop all those photos. Do you just drop the film off at the drugstore?

To clarify, I do not have a broken arm. She hasn’t done that to me, yet. I was making a joke, comparing giving chocolate to the wife creating a capacity for joy and the capacity of a flashlight battery, making a joke about not commenting on the wife’s “capacity” (larger?) lest I get hurt. (My wife is 5’ tall and not round. She watches it like a hawk, and would be ready to hit me with something even for the implication. lol)

Digital Full Frame Camera. I process the “film”. Just put up 412 Birthday pics from Sunday. Is 400 pics too many for a birthday party? Oh well.

Wow, 412 pics…that must have been a long party, lol.

Typical party, 2:00 to 5:00. Lady that called me was throwing a 75th party for her mom. Not really a party, in a true sense of the word, they played some MoTown and had a buffet, mostly a family gathering kind of thing. Some old friends in from out of town made it special, pretty neat all in all. The good cheer even had the 82 yr old Dad try to dance, that lasted about 3 steps and he grabbed his back! lol

So I guess you take a bunch of reduntant photos, from at least eight angles? Because if so, 400 for 3 hours of party is not at all an unreasonable number.

You definitely talk too much.

Hey, they’re all dundant! :stuck_out_tongue:

Photojournalistic coverage of an event, telling the story through the timeline as it were, for those involved in actually sponsoring the event that miss out on everything and for those that couldn’t be there, as well as the possible photo albums showing that a good time was had by all. (except the one that unequivocally states “I don’t take pictures, nobody wants to see my face” and I shoot them an disproportionate amount to prove em wrong or just in general to p em off, thus proving that it is indeed I Me Myself taking the pictures while they sit around talking eating and drinking.)

Please, don’t anyone get disillusioned by this. I talk plenty while I’m there.

You shoot in RAW? Taking the pictures is not what takes the time it’s post production.

RAW only, all the time, well, except for flashlight stuff. Those are usually quick grabs anyway.

Some events are more demanding of others, so the processing time varies accordingly. Really dark venues, decently lighted venues with lots of windows during the daytime, there can be a lot of issue with backlighting that is difficult to address on the fly, so the processing has to take care of things the camera can’t allow for. The best camera’s can’t see into the shadows while also dealing with source lighting, even a top camera is only about 1/10th as sensitive as our eyes. So yes, it can get complicated pretty quick. (technology is advancing though, as is the monetary cost)

epic!!!

long time reader, finally joined, doesn’t feel right to tell you you talk too much. But OK, you talk too much.
