I got some DC-Fix from Boaz recently and made an attempt to transform the beam profile of my Nitenumen NE01 from one with a very obvious hot spot to a much creamier one.
Here’s the befores and afters (please pardon the severe PWM that the NE01 is notorious for):
Much smoother in that second pic! Did you put it on top or underneath the glass?

On top. I was too lazy to open up the light.
I changed my emitter to a XPG2 it made the throw worse lol But it did fix the ugly tint! I think optics would work well in this light.

Ugly tint, terrible PWM, dangerous charging function… Is there a BLF ‘light we love to hate’ award? I’m sure the NE01 would be a top contender, lol.

I have DC-Fix on several of my lights. I think it only causes something like a a 3% loss in lumen output. It’s rather amazing.

So I heard. I like the new look, so I think I’m keeping the fix on. I have another thrower on hand and two more incoming anyway.
