XML2 T6 4C Noctigon
Direct Drive FET driver from RMM
1x IMR RED efest 18650
Max is only used to burn things or blind someone.
It would work quite well indeed. Perfect combo.
It will get very hot if you leave it in modes 3A and above in hot ambient temps or low air flow areas. As long as you’re mindful/careful it should be fine.
I just put together a convoy c8 host a 17mm fet dd and dedomed xplv6 on 10 mm copper pad and it’s my favorite c8 on dark nights the hot spot will hit 300 yards just make sure not to over deplete the battery as there aren’t an low voltage earnings in the driver other than that you’ll have a blast.
I got similar setup( but with U3-1A dedomed) for my .223 Ak rifle, and the last winder it switched accidently in the backpack while it was wrapped by my WOLLEN hat…i realised its switched on when my hat started to burn :bigsmile:
It still works though( same candelas, i tested it afterthat), a champ light- since copper DTP emerged things changed alot

Yes I have a xhp70 in a m1, I also have mtg2 in Convoy S series, xhp50 in a m2 etc. Why do you ask man?
I just thought it was a bit funny when comparing to your other high-end builds but nevermind, just a bad joke. On topic, I’m in the process of also doing a C8 DD but it’ll probably take a few months or so. I did however get very good answers on the matter from Tom E in another thread a while back and long story short, Newer bins of xm-l2 don’t go much higher than 5A. But you would still be rockin’ around 20W so you may need to set a turbo timer.
