DDH-M4C, "DayDream" 4500k 90CRI 110110 multi-die custom emitter, XBY Buck+FET driver

For years, the high-power/ big emitters market have been flooded by cool white, low CRI emitters. ChangDa tried, with their 3000k 95CRI formula, but the tint is far from satisfactory(don’t waste your money, really)…

Until now.

I’ve partnered with XBY the driver producer in ordering a custom batch of 110110 multi-die emitter, directly from factory, that is similar to SFP55, but in natural white colour (4500k), high CRI and rosy tint

And the host, DDH-M4C-21700, a large head-diameter host, is by far the best build quality from DDH I’ve ever tried.

In comparison to Convoy M21C, and D6E-46120 at the back

Powered by latest ver. XBY 32mm buck+FET driver, capable of 0.5-16A ramping, direct-drive turbo, and 22.5w USBC two way charging

The tint at 0.5A (yes, the hopo is new

16A

& turbo

with fully charged EVE 50PL, turbo recorded ~50A thru the emitter

Some random beamshots  Phone camera locked at 1/15s, ISO400, 4500K

Cons?

This thing is HOT, especially on turbo, will sear my hands well-done after 60 seconds.
And it eats battery, wouldn’t last 15mins on high(16A)

But I like it
This will be my go-to light for a short while.

Thanks for watching.
Feel free to contact me or XBY directly for the LED.

23 Thanks

Based solely on the pics, color wise it looks very similar to the ntg 4200k

Power wise it doesn’t reach as high as this beast I guess :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Data as provided by factory

Not even close, lol…would you be willing to do a burn out runtime test? How long could you run it at “x” level while maintaining phosphor and general LED integrity? 10000 hours? 5000 hours?

1 Thank

I might do that with my D6E. The battery is large enough so I don’t have to change or charge the battery as frequently. But still, 5000hr is not a short period, phew.

Forgive my ignorance… How would one go about procuring such a beast…?

And I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of XBY drivers, I assume it’s a brand who don’t have a storefront for western markets?

I wonder what else they make… 64mm drivers that fit the BLF GT?

3 Thanks

@billy_s Would you be willing to ship some to @koef3 and to me? I’d be willing to buy a few if soldered on 25mm MCPCBs.

No, XBY and DDH are brands available solely to the Chinese markets. If you’ve heard of Starfish on Taobao, XBY is making 47mm drivers for their upcoming 46-battery sized host.

I’ll be shipping one to Koef soon, still looking for the cheaper way to ship it though.

Is there any bare 25mm 110110 MCPCB available on the market? I’ve yet to see one

1 Thank

Edit:
Scrap it, i see you’re asking for 25mm :person_facepalming:

Well, if the price is not astronomical, I’d be interested in one too. Since I’m also from europe, you could ship it to koef and I’d go from there with him if he’s game. In this case I’d cover half the shipping to him.

Very nice! Is there any possibility you could order a custom NBD50 or NBD70 in the same configuration?

I discovered those leds recently on Xianyu and have four of them on the way. Is it you who is selling them?

Kaidomain has a 20mm 110110 MCPCB.

Right right, an NBD7070 with these properties would be extremely attractive.

I do often wonder with these “hard to source” (for Western markets) parts, why we don’t seem to use the existing distribution stores (Intl-outdoor, Kaidomain, Convoy Simon; perhaps as part of a group buy? Surely you’d sell several 100 of these if delivery was easier?

I realise more “middlemen” means price goes up, but I’d have thought the demand exists.

Is it possible to buy all the parts needed to reproduce the loght you made outside of china?

Hallo. How much is one please? Interested…Slovakia

1 Thank

It’s XBY who’s selling on goofish. Did you used forwarder to purchase?

1 Thank

Your best bet would be superbuy. I’ve heard members here successfully purchased stuff on Taobao and Goofish through superbuy.

2 Thanks

All of these parts would be really good for Convoy L8. Is the driver UI Anduril?

2 Thanks

Thanks, yes, I used Superbuy.

Is the stock going to finish soon? Because then I will buy some more.
