I will be buying 10 x warm white bayonet (B22) bulbs for myself, perhaps the 20w ones but I’m not sure if that will be too bright as I only have 2 lights in my whole apartment with small rooms.

Postage depends on post codes, its about $9 for a 10 pack for me or 2 10 packs for about $11.

Lots of cfl-bulbs on sale here too, I guess they are getting rid of stock because the led-bulbs are winning marketshare very fast now.

Yeah I’ve noticed a lot of posts with them for cheap in the USA as well a while ago.

Here they usually cost $7-14 or so each, the last one I bought was a warm white Philips branded one for about $10 from the supermarket.

I also bought a LED Philips bulb too but I put it back in the box, it takes about 1 minute minute to warm up and get bright (it starts off very dull) and often I need it to come on right away. Although the colour of it is very nice.

Hey ezarc, I saw this on OzB today too.
I hope these are disappearing. Light in half an hour, and not very bright anyway. I still buy the Halogens in BC for lamps and such. Readily available in Bunnings, and Woolies, about $2. Plenty bright and the light is nicer than the curly wurlys.

These things.
