Deal Alert NOT: 8 old Sanyo 4/3 Ni-MH Cells for $8.45

I wish you would have given me a heads up on that, but I understand.

I got the other 2 packs yesterday. This time, they were in sealed antistatic bags. One was a li-ion battery though. The lid was already part way off. I could see it had plain tannish/yellow cells. No labeling. They were at zero volts and one was starting to leak under the wrapper. So like the other pack I got, this is a total loss. I need to render these cells safe to transport and put into the recycle bin. I don’t know how to do that. I don’t want to endanger anyone.

The other was the right battery. I couldn’t open it without destroying the case. This one does look like it may have be refurbished. The components in it looked more modern. It had dark green cells labels “00-02 CGH” I have no idea what that means. One of the cells had a sticker that said “Panasonic HHR450A”. The battery is behaving well so far. I had them on the charger for 4 hours before I had to unplug it to go to bed. The cells didn’t get hot while charging. Just a good warm that all my healthy cells do when being charged at 750mA. Voltage when I disconnected them was 1.38 volts each. I will finish charging them tonight and report back.

This whole transaction reminds me of a Forrest Gump scene and a box of chocolates.

yeah. Here’s a picture of the li-ion they sent me that is leaking. They are telling me to ship it back for a refund. Besides feeling that I should not have to pay to ship something back that I didn’t order, I’m worried the liability I could incur if the below battery had some type of incident during the trip. Also, isn’t illegal to ship something like this via the US Postal Service?

Just so you know, you don't have to keep trying to convince me not to buy these. I'm convinced. :D

One way or the other I’m gonna get a full refund and I’m not gonna ship anything back on my dime to anyone for screw-ups or fraud not caused by me. If worse comes to worse and PayPal/Ebay can’t get it done my Visa will have the charges reversed.

I’ve shipped enough stuff back on my dime in my lifetime. Not anymore.

Same here. I’ll buy the second pack as the cells in it took about 7 hours to charge and they reached full voltage. So they seem to have 4500mAh of capacity. I don’t know if the cells are really Panasonic HHR450A’s, but I’m guessing they are.

The 1st one with the 13 year old cells and the li-ion pack that I did not order and has a leaky cell, I will get refunded. This guy can be a rude as he possibly can and can accuse me of being a scammer to the top of his lungs. I may just be a hick in po dunk South Carolina, but he has no idea how resourceful and determined I get when someone tries to rip me off.
