I've searched with your search engine for Sacredfire NF555 and got only 3 websites beside dealextreme. There aren't thousands of alternatives for most products I'm interested in. If I search with plain google I get more results.
Recently ordered some stuff from DX too. Ordered on the 9th Aug, shipped only on the 19th Aug. Granted they did have a 3 day public holiday in between. But that still took 7 days to ship just 1 (one) item.
Well their stuff is cheap, and shipping is free. Kinda hard to argue still. If you want anything from them just factor that in.
That is why I recommend (and mainly use) EBay. By the rules, they MUST have the item in stock to sell it. You might not get some of the more unusual items (ie emitters and the like), but you can certainly get most of the torches and for the same price as the bare chinese sites. Like you, if it takes more than a couple of days to ship an order, I won’t use them again. I really expect the order to be shipped the same or the next day, and that is the way it is 99% of the time.
Who cares - if you have to wait months for the item then it is not worth it (to me). I would rather go somewhere else. You might (not always) pay $1-2 more, but my time is worth more than that. I don’t even mind paying a fair bit more if I know the item will arrive in 7-10 days. So this is what I do. I will only shop on these chinese websites now if I don’t really want the item. ie a $1 keychain light or something. I think for anything over $5 or $10 then you are asking to lose your money. It is better at the $20-$30 level to forget the ‘free’ postage and pay $2-5 to get the damn thing delivered.
Don't be fooled by the 'free' postage deal - it is not free. You are paying for it - at least in lost time if nothing else. You also pay for it in time lost starting Paypal disputes, emails back and forth, and grey hair.
The funny thing is that perhaps I have been lucky, for each and every 22 packages from DX arrived and items are ok.
As mentioned, how we negate the effects of long processing and shipping, is just just by buying an endless supply of stuff! LOL!
With sites like Solarforce sales/CNQG/Bestinone, of course we try to consolidate orders together, as you safe via combined shipping (SF is due to the additional $2 registration fee).
But there are many stuff which i want to purchase and is simply not available at Ebay. My Ebay purchases are only like 10% of the whole picture. And Ebay is very expensive compared to Aliexpress (which has Escrow protection + ratings as well). But yes if the item is available on Ebay, i tend to order there....that is IF the item is available.
There are certain parts that are hard to find other than at DX. It's generally not a matter of paying a couple of dollars more elsewhere (which I'd gladly do).
I order from DX when I have to and just forget the order until it arrives. Manafont is my preferred China dealer. If Tmart has it (and they usually don't) I use them just because I know I'll get it in a week or less.
If it's something I really want and Going Gear carries it I'll just pay up and get it within a few days.
DX has some items at their U.S. warehouse now so best to check that first.
I been waitin 5 - 6 weeks since shipped for my DX order ....ha never arrived ....at least they gave me a full refund after paypal distpute ... Im done with these ching mugs and will buy ebay only from now on

Still DX is the cheapest at $46 shipped with registration but that's the FF brand. I got mine in 2 weeks i think.

DX, KD, MF, etc are selling items that are very cheap with free shipping worldwilde...and you would like that they send your order the next day ?
Personnally i'm never in a hurry, I will probably be when i will need a heart or kidney transplantation, but for a flashlight and a couple of drivers...come on guys, they are already working like "slaves" to make and sell all those items that are cheaper than a couple of beers in our country.
Last week I ordered 2 very cheap PCI Sata card for my computer from their UK warhouse and I received it 4 days later, this is a normal delay for the shipping time from UK to France and I paid nothing for handling and shipping fees. How could I ask more ?
Maybe it's just me, but that isn't the issue...shipping times they can't control...unless they start their own courier service and planes.
It's the wait between you ordering and them even having the product when ordering from China that annoys people. Doesn't bother me as I buy win advance (new to flash lights but not from buying from China). In no other buying format do you pay before the company even has the items secured to be sold.
I ordered Aug 9 and still hasn't shipped yet. I sent them an email, and the reply was really dumb...

Placed an order for a P7 drop-in on Aug. 24. It arrived on the 29th. I received shipping notification on the 30th :)

My last DX China order took a full month to get to me. I ordered a light from the US DX warehouse, which promises something like 2-5 days shipping, and it took a full week before they even shipped it! I may have to look into Ebay...
Send them an email. If the feel they can get and rush for you, they will do it, after all it is $$$. If they feel it is really out of stock, they will do a refund.
Sometimes for not so common items, they will sit on it. I ordered KD 32600 and it was there for over 1 week, emailed them and they said they will send it out the next day. Probably they purposely sent someone to the shop to get it.
I know this kind of practices do not go well with some, so I guess that only means taking your biz to ebay or the US webstores if it bothers you. For me like the V60C, I cannot spend at extra $65 for the good service from the US stores.....or an extra $54 for the TK70 which i've got.
