After grinding down the bezel of one of my new 51 led defiants on a grinding wheel .I realized the heat had caused the paint to weld the bezel to the head . That would be fine if i had the led module and lens in it .

(wait who am I kidding ...it would never be acceptable ..this host begs for a mod )

I ended up breaking out the pipe wrench and vise to finally get this sucker open and made a big mess out of it. Bad enough that the 51 led /lens wasn't going top go back in since the head was no longer round . I ended up breaking out a hacksaw and cutting into the threads about 8 times and hammered and pried them back till I could shove the "drop in " back in ...pounded back the threads and slammed the bezel back on.

But hey ...No more sharp edges !! Just a head that looks like it was mauled by a bear.

Send it to me and I’ll drop it from high altitude to impact a granite rock field. No guarantees on retrieval though… only happiness in the knowledge that it got what it deserved. :bigsmile:
