Is there a simple way that a seller can delete their sales thread once the light is sold? It sure would reduce the clutter.

The only way is to...

Contact the admin

Keeping the ad and the price the item sells for is important for setting market value if somebody else wants to sell a similar item.

It gives us an idea of what’s what.

Chris

Keep the sell ads. They are of interest for any number of reasons. Especially the ones with good pictures.

I hate when communities adopt the practice of removing sale prices from ads, let alone deleting the entire post. It makes it impossible to research fair used market value.

Just leave the ad but revise the heading as “Sold” so people know.

The problem is that too many people fail to revise the heading. Maybe this should be added to the sticky.

Hardly seems like a big issue

I agree. They always fall down the list anyway when a light is sold though & people stop replying.

Like RobertB says, if a title revision of SOLD is remember to be made; that is further notification. IF they forget to do it… not really a big deal.

:person_facepalming: Non issue, nothing to see here folks, move along….

 ………. :+1:

Ok, here is an example. The thread right below this one (at least it was) is WTS Eagtac SX25L3. I bought this light a few weeks ago. I know that it is not the end of the world or anything, but clicking on a WTS thread and running thru the posts only to later find that the light is sold, or worse yet, replying to a dead thread because the light is long sold and the seller is no longer paying attention to the sales thread.

Let’s make a standard practice that if you decide buy it you have to quote the whole OP post so if the OP deletes it it still saved under the quote… problem solved :innocent:

Sounds like to much effort :stuck_out_tongue:

Just give us all of the none needed threads so we can spam them? It’s tradition?

Sounds like a plan
